Janet Mueller
Janet Mueller works instinctively. In particular she works out of inner necessity to create art. Mueller gains inspiration from her environment, surrounding objects and visual appearances. The works shown in Galerie 94’s exhibition limit themselves to five materials. Namely, paper, graphite pencil, tush color, color pigments and wax. Mueller herself assesses the creation process and the resulting artworks of equal value. While the objects from the ‚landscape‘ series reveal an all-encompassing yet subliminal message of ‚vanitas‘ within their fragile light and shadow plays, the objects from the ‚body landscapes‘ series explore the theme of subjective femininity in the modern world.

Mark Inderbitzin
On various conceptual levels, Mark Inderbitzin concerns himself with the modern-time cultural phenomenon of ‚restlessness‘. In particular, this is done with long-term visual studies that Inderbitzin creates and documents with the help of numerous sketchbooks. From sketches, over drypoint etching, to digital processing, Inderbitzin produces numerous series that build on one another and present themselves in the form of diverse materials.
